William R. Kraner, P.E., C.E.M.

Program Manager, Engineering •

Will joined Benchmark Group in 2006 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Professional Engineering license in January 2012, and he is currently licensed in 34 states. In 2015, Will became a Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.). Will has designed and been in charge of numerous refrigeration system designs for large retail clients. This experience encompasses different types of refrigeration racks, CO2 and Glycol secondary overfeed systems, traditional direct expansion (DX) loop and circuited systems, and air/water/evaporative cooled condensers. He also has experience with construction observations and functional performance testing of the refrigeration systems and components.

To keep up with the ever changing technology in refrigeration, Will continues to research and learn about the field. He also maintains day-to-day contact with major refrigeration rack and case manufacturers, which gives him the necessary insights for designing the most efficient refrigeration systems available, making any changes throughout a project’s construction process, and meeting the Client’s needs.
