Recently, a 2-day 2017 National Electrical Codes (NEC) Training was held on-site at Benchmark Group.  It was attended by over 20 Benchmark Staff Members and was facilitated by Jim Phillips, P.E. (https://brainfiller.com/about-jim-phillips/).

Attendees learned “what the various code articles mean, but also how to correctly apply the code in the design and installation of electric power systems.”  Everyone enjoyed the many hands-on examples and problems to solve that reinforced the concepts.

Training and talent development is high on our priority list at Benchmark Group. We want to ensure all team members are not only aware and knowledgeable in all facets of their job, but are the experts in their field.

With that, we also had teams attend the following sessions:

  • A 3-day National Fire Protection Association training in Nashville, TN.  The NFPA 13: Installation of Sprinkler Systems training provided a refresher and update on the “knowledge required for design, installation, & analysis sprinkler system installations” using the latest NFPA 13.
  • A Leadership session on “The Art of Effective Relational Leadership” was provided to our management team.  Thank you to Michael Brown with InSight Leadership (http://www.insightlg.com/develop-people/) for an incredible training session.
