David A. Dorn, P.E.

Mechanical Engineer

David is a Mechanical Engineer with nearly 20 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fuel system design for large-scale retail projects. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2006 and joined Benchmark Group shortly after graduation as a mechanical designer supporting national retail programs.

Throughout his career, David has served in a variety of technical and leadership roles, including mechanical trainer, project manager, and prototype lead. After earning his Professional Engineer license in 2011, he assumed leadership responsibilities for fuel station and retail prototype programs, helping guide design standards and support program consistency across multiple project teams.

In his current role, David works on fuel station and grocery projects, providing HVAC, plumbing, and fuel system design services. He also serves as the Mechanical and Plumbing lead for a national grocery prototype program, coordinating updates across multiple teams to ensure quality, consistency, and efficient project execution for nationwide retail and grocery clients.
