Refrigeration Engineer

Brett is a Professional Engineer who earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a focus on innovative refrigeration solutions, Brett brings technical expertise and practical experience to the design of complex commercial refrigeration systems.

Brett joined Benchmark Group in 2022 as a Refrigeration Designer and was promoted to Refrigeration EIT in 2023. In his early role, he contributed to projects for Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Target, gaining extensive experience in commercial refrigeration applications for retail, grocery, and fuel environments.

Now serving as a Professional Refrigeration Engineer on the CapX team, Brett primarily works on Walmart and Sam’s Club remodel projects. In addition to project design work, Brett mentors new designers, providing guidance in refrigeration design and engineering best practices. He also reviews team deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency and signs refrigeration drawings for construction documents.

With experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and a strong commitment to researching and integrating new refrigeration technologies and energy‑efficient solutions, Brett plays an important role in delivering well‑coordinated, high‑quality refrigeration system designs.
