Scott is a Senior Architect at Benchmark Group with more than 30 years in the design industry on a variety of projects for retail, restaurant, worship, hospitality, educational, municipal, corporate, commercial, and public facilities. During his career, he has taken a holistic approach to building construction by exploring and developing design concepts thoroughly, both aesthetically and technically. His technique has led to projects produced on time and within budget.

Scott developed his multi-faceted leadership skills through participation in a community leadership program. Throughout his career, he has held the role of Business Development Representative, Project Team Leader, and as a Client Manager for multiple client groups, supervising a multi-disciplined staff of design professionals in the programing, schematic design, and design development phases, as well as the creation of contract documents for release into the construction field. He had the lead on the construction management of twelve retail stores around the United States for Bass Pro Shops. He is also a past President of the Springfield (MO) Component of the American Institute of Architects. Prior to serving as Component President, he served on the board as a Director for 6 years.
