He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Associate of Science in Nuclear Technology from Arkansas Tech University. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE).
