Joshua A. Houghton, C.E.T.

Josh Houghton is a NICET III Certified Engineering Technician (C.E.T.) specializing in Fire Protection Engineering and Fire Alarm Systems. He joined Benchmark Group in 2018 as a Fire Protection Designer and earned his Texas APS (Alarm Planning Superintendent) License. 

With nearly two decades of experience, Josh has worked on numerous fire alarm projects in industrial, commercial, retail, residential, military, healthcare, worship, and institutional settings.  He also has experience with clean agent fire suppression, burglar alarm, access control, and surveillance systems. His previous fieldwork overseeing installations, servicing, and inspection of fire alarm systems gives Josh a unique advantage in designing these systems.  In his current role as Project Manager, Josh schedules projects, reviews projects for accuracy and code compliance, and trains and mentors designers.
