Matthew is a Fire Alarm Discipline Specialist with more than 12 years of experience in fire alarm, intrusion, access control, video surveillance, and data systems across industrial, commercial, residential, educational, and worship facilities. His background combines hands-on field experience with technical design expertise, providing a practical understanding of system installation, code compliance, and project execution.

Since joining Benchmark Group in 2024, Matthew has advanced through multiple roles, earning his NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems before being promoted to Fire Alarm Discipline Specialist in 2026. His project experience includes retail, educational, religious, and public safety facilities, where he has designed fire alarm systems that meet both client needs and regulatory requirements.

In his current role, Matthew is responsible for the design and calculation of fire alarm systems, coordinating with clients, contractors, and code officials throughout the permitting and construction process. He also reviews plans and specifications, mentors new team members, and helps resolve field and code-related challenges to ensure high-quality, code-compliant designs and successful project delivery.
